Background

Praveena R is currently working as Senior Director, Data Engineering and Analytics at Dollar General. With over 25 years of experience, Praveena’s expertise lies in Data management, Program Management, Product Management, and Engineering Management. Previously, she worked as a senior data and analytics leader at Walmart for almost two decades. In her role there, she was responsible for enabling product teams to build customer-centric holistic data products to drive Walmart’s mission of democratizing customer services forward. After building several core merchandizing platforms for business stakeholders that enhanced Walmart services for consumers, she also led a customer data-centric organization to bring an edge over the competition. She lead teams that focused on having a single view of customers across all channels, so the customer is best served. Prior to this, she was leading the International Pricing and Global Omni Item engineering team that helped cross-border trade in addition to omnichannel selling. She is now at Dollar General, leading their Enterprise data. She is a huge fan of the Sundevils and is an Arizona State University graduate. She also volunteers for the NWA Feed Rogers program and Circle of Life.
