Background

Liya Aizenberg is currently working as Senior Director of Data Engineering at Major League Soccer. With more than 22 years of experience in the industry, she has a strong background in management and has successfully driven innovation to develop highly scalable data engineering pipelines and data distribution solutions. In her previous role at Away Travel, she also led the Women in Tech (WIT) ERG as its Organizer and Lead. She is an astute strategic leader who can design new processes to enhance project delivery efficiency. Liya also promotes data governance and master data management as a tactical discipline to build a proactive, results-driven, and business-focused data engineering organization. She engages effectively with business stakeholders to identify and address data challenges and assists business leaders in formulating ideas for creating various data products using existing and new data points.
